Gefran @Agritechnica 2025: innovation for the future of agriculture

Join us to explore smart, reliable, and safety-driven sensing solutions that enhance efficiency and performance across mobile applications.

Gefran @Agritechnica 2025

For agricultural machinery manufacturers, integrating robust and reliable sensing systems is essential to ensure safety and continuous operation in the field. Gefran, an Italian multinational with extensive experience in mobile machinery, will showcase its range of sensors at AGRITECHNICA 2025 (Hannover, 9–15 November, Hall 17 – Stand H07), designed to deliver high performance and maximum functional safety even in the most demanding working environments.

Integrated solutions and advanced safety for mobile applications

With eight production plants worldwide, in-depth application expertise, and dedicated technical support, Gefran manufactures sensors designed in accordance with the most advanced functional safety standards (ISO 13849), ensuring reliability even in the most demanding control environments. Among the flagship products are the KMC pressure transducers, already PL d and SIL2 certified, with CANopen Safety output, which ensure accurate and continuous measurements in all operating conditions.

One of the new features presented at the fair concerns the extension of PL d certification to the GSH linear wire sensor family, in all their versions. This certification will also be progressively applied to the entire range of sensors for mobile machines, including rotary sensors and inclinometers: a process already underway that confirms Gefran‘s commitment to developing increasingly safe and reliable solutions.

“From tractors to sprayers to combine harvesters, our application experience allows us to provide sensors capable of accurately measuring force and position even in the most demanding conditions,” explains Andrea Taietta, Sensor Business Developer at Gefran. “With advanced solutions such as the KMC pressure transducer with CANopen Safety, the SLR strain sensor, and the GR3P rotary sensors, we aim to ensure maximum reliability and functional safety for the agricultural machinery of today and tomorrow.”

SLR: a new frontier in strain measurement

Exclusively previewed at Agritechnica 2025, the new SLR strain sensor expands Gefran’s portfolio for force and load measurement in mobile machinery.

Designed to measure the deformation of the machine structure, SLR enables precise load evaluation without the need for complex load cells. Its dual thermal compensation not only corrects for the sensor’s own expansion but also eliminates false signals caused by the thermal expansion of the machine body, ensuring outstanding accuracy.

Built for harsh environments, SLR features a rugged design with IP69K protection, fully resistant to dust, high-pressure, and hot jet water cleaning.

With its standardized form, SLR is easy to install and manage in stock, offering a compact, reliable, and precise solution for agricultural, lifting, and material handling machinery.

GR3P: contactless angular measurement

The GR3P is Gefran’s Hall-effect rotary sensor, designed to provide precise angular position measurements in the most complex mobile applications. Contactless technology, a sealed housing (IP67/IP69K), and resistance to shocks, vibrations, and temperatures up to 125°C ensure reliable performance even in the harshest agricultural environments. E1-approved and available in multiple mechanical and electrical configurations, GR3P offers a flexible and efficient solution, backed by Gefran’s technical support, for angular position control in agricultural machinery.
